    Frequently Asked Admin Questions

    That’s up to you as program administrator! Before employees even fill out a form, you’ll be able to select the voucher amount, what frame groups are covered, and what additional options may or may not be available. Advantage Plus utilizes SafeVision® by HOYA prescription safety eyewear, so you’ll know what options are available when building your program and you can be sure all eyewear is ANSI certified.


    All order forms generated by employees will list any special considerations (for example, if a job would require plastic frames over metal) for full visibility to the optician and HOYA professionals involved in ordering and manufacturing an employee’s glasses.


    It depends on your company size and purchasing amounts, so be sure to ask your representative about your options. Most companies will receive individual invoices for any employee purchases that do not exceed the set voucher amount. Larger companies may elect to receive periodic summary invoices totaling all purchases in that period; these will still be itemized with individual purchase information. For orders that exceed the set voucher limit, you’ll still receive an invoice for the purchase amount up to that limit. You’ll be invoiced by our program, not HOYA nor the participating optician.


    Typically Advantage Plus is unrelated to any vision care offering your company may provide. For instance, if an employee elects to have an eye exam in advance of choosing new safety glasses, that employee is responsible for paying for that exam. Even if their employee vision plan may cover the procedure, it has no bearing on the voucher for safety glasses.


    As program administrator, you can help an employee replace damaged safety glasses by renewing their eligibility in your Advantage Plus web portal, or you can contact us direct support team to assist you.


    If your company elects to opt in, employees can be notified by email when their voucher eligibility is renewed and they are free to get new safety glasses.

    Frequently Asked Employee Questions

    All you have to do is log in to your account and view your home page, where you’ll see any vouchers you’re eligible for, their balances, and any applicable expiration and reset dates.


    Yes! If you don’t have access to a printer, you can save your order form as a PDF and email it to your optician.


    You can! You’ll pay the difference between your set voucher amount and the glasses price when you visit your optician to select their frames.


    Issues like returns are handled by the participating optician. An employee will typically consult them rather than the program administrator.


    Order tracking may be available from the optician who handled your order, so it’s best to inquire with them about receiving notifications.
