Much heavier than expected

Much heavier then you would expected a hiking stile medium duty work boots with innovative carbon-fiber toe technology would be. A big disappointment for me. They are much more heavy then Keen Davenports with regular composite toes and even heavier them RedWing’s 6” King Toes with polyurethane sole because of a massive rubber brick like sole of the Keen Dovers. Also my feet are freezing with one regular pair of socks when the temperature drops into the teens Fahrenheit, while uninsulated RedWinds polyurethane sole composite King Toes with the same socks are warm all the way to minus -10 F. No more Keen brand for me. I had two pairs of Keen Davenport’s before, they are nice to wear in summer but they do not last. The first pair lasted less then 9 months. And the second pair started falling apart after 5 months. I’ve seen somebody had already commented on this issuer under the Keen’s Davenports. I’m done with Keen brand. I’m not happy.I walk a lot. So I’m looking for a light hiking stile medium duty work boots. I used to buy RedWing’s 6” King Toes to wear all the year around, except winter days with a snow pack when the RedWing’s 8” keep snow out of getting into the boots from the top. I also have 10 year old insulated pair which still looks like new for that ugly day in winter when the temperature drops below minus -10 F or -20 F and you have to work outside. But it does not happen every winter. On the other hand, in summer when it’s getting really hot, the Keen’s Davenports make you feet feel happier, but as I already mention above, these boots do not last.To be fair to the Keen. I have to mention that I had a big problem with my last pair of the RedWings. The sole started separating form the boots in less then a month. So after some hassle with the Red Wing customer service they replaced the defective pair. They told me that there was an issue with the quality in the last days before they closed the factory in China and moved the production to Vietnam.
