I bought a couple pairs because I found an old glove on the road. It was dirty & looked well-used, but no holes & no ripped seams. I saw "sewn with Kevlar" figured it was worth a try. Most gloves wear thru at fingers of dominant hand. I work with firewood.Just used new pair for one chainsaw session, so too early to tell, but I'm hopeful they'll last awhile. I wrote this so they'd quit bugging me about it. Price is steep, esp. $8 shipping for 2 pairs.

Big Jakes Rule!

I have been buying gloves for metal workers / welders for 20 years. Always trying to save money by buying cheaper leather palm gloves. I bought a dozen Big Jakes for the guys to try and that 1 dozen gloves lasted as long as 3 dozen of the cheaper work gloves. Plus they all just raved about them; How well made they are, how comfortable and how long they last. The quality of Big Jakes is also consistent from one order to the next, which the cheaper leather palm gloves can vary greatly. Big Jakes are all I buy now.
Pros: Long life, Consistant quality, Good performance
